Mission Statement for The Nurturing Network
The Nurturing Network is an international charitable organization that for over three decades responded to the urgent and comprehensive needs of women facing a life-altering crisis.
Founded in 1985 by Mary Cunningham Agee, a former Wall Street banker and top management Strategic Planning executive for two Fortune 100 companies, TNN served 25,000 women facing the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy. By mobilizing the talent and energy of over 52,000 volunteer Resource Members in all fifty states and 30 foreign countries, Ms. Agee demonstrated that there exists a vast common ground on which all sides can agree and move beyond political differences in order to provide practical compassion to the most vulnerable in our midst.
TNN’s secondary purpose was to provide a convenient and meaningful way for members of society to cooperate in bringing hope and healing to those most at risk.
Collaboration was a key component of TNN’s Client support program. The Network worked effectively with over 2500 charitable organizations, foundations and faith-based initiatives nationwide.
Communication of TNN’s message of practical compassion through writing, interviews and speeches continues to fulfill the Founder’s original mission and vision to inspire awareness of the value of each human life regardless of social or economic circumstances.
TNN’s objective was never a political one but a most practical one: To provide an authentic and life-affirming choice to men and women whose own support networks have let them down. Each person served by the Nurturing Network was empowered to move beyond their own economic, emotional and social constraints to nurture their own life as well as those around them.
"One of TNN's primary objectives is to provide a meaningful way for members of society to cooperate in bringing hope and healing to the most vulnerable among us."

“As a retired administrator; I was attracted to the Nurturing Network because it is so effective and exceptionally well-organized. I have received many blessings during my time as a volunteer. One of those gifts is a deep respect for the tremendous courage of those whom we have served. They are a memory to draw upon when my own life demands courage.”
