Campus Outreach Project: Strategic Educational Expansion onto 1000 Colleges and Universities
The Nurturing Network has embarked upon a 3 year strategic plan to increase the number and scope of practical, life-affirming resources available to college students facing the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy on secular and faith-based campuses all across the country. A manager hired to direct this Project has joined TNN’s expanded professional team.
Volunteer Members all across the country are lending their time and experience to help ensure the success of this vital outreach. Your financial support or introduction to others who may be in a position to assist TNN would be the “wind beneath the wings” of this expansion Project.
A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND THANKS
I hope that this information will be helpful in demonstrating how important your financial support is to the mothers and children whom TNN serves. Over the almost 25 years since TNN's founding, an average of 90% of all expenditures have been allocated directly to Client services and programs. TNN volunteer Members nationwide have contributed nearly 425,000 hours of service during these years which has been conservatively valued at over $12,500,000 by independent auditors. These gifts of time and talent enable us to leverage each donated dollar to the maximum degree possible.
If you have any questions as you consider this request, please do not hesitate to contact TNN's development office by phone or email. Your help has never been more necessary -- nor will it ever be more appreciated.

Ideas for College Campus Resource Development: A Few Suggestions from Mary Cunningham Agee
Thank you for considering how Nurturing Network's simple but highly effective "Clustering" process might be a resource for you in identifying and motivating potential new Volunteers in campus communities near you. I hope that these suggestions will serve as a helpful starting point for encouraging your participation in this vital outreach. We have found that this "Clustering" process and the administrative support offered by our professional Staff make it easier for busy people to offer their gifts with greater ease.
- Our Clustering materials include several well-written articles along with Guidelines for Cluster Coordinators, a 15-minute motivational talk appropriate for small group presentations and camera ready artwork for church bulletins and local newspapers. We also have audio -video material, a "Dear Friends for Life " motivational flyer that we can provide in quantity and at no cost as well as a new college poster if these resources would be helpful to you.
- In order that students on the campuses in your area are fully aware of our Network's program of support, you may want to contact key administrators and faculty members and encourage staff members at the student health center to maintain a supply of our brochures in the reception area.
- You may know of others, pastors or lay leaders in the campus faith community or leaders of a student pro-life organization who would appreciate having an invitation to become more familiar with and join our life-saving efforts. If you are in a position to facilitate the inclusion of a link from the campus website to TNN's web site, please don't hesitate to let us know. This resource is a wonderful outreach especially to college students in need of our support.
- In the hope that you may be able to encourage the inclusion of Nurturing Network information in the orientation packets provided for each incoming student, Our Clustering Packet includes a comprehensive one-page description of our services that other institutions have found to be helpful for this purpose. We can make this information piece available in any quantity and at no cost thanks to the ongoing generosity of our donors.
University students and friends within many campus communities are developing plans to speak about our organization to students or resident advisors in campus living groups. I mention each of these possibilities to let you know that there are many options available that you can choose from as you strengthen life-saving apostolate on campus.
- I have found that institutions of higher learning that are truly committed to providing more choices for their women students find our Network to be an important resource for their students. Colleges such as Notre Dame University, Boston University, Catholic University of America, Bryant College, Stanford, Boston College, Creighton University, Texas Tech University and University of Detroit, to mention just a few, are part of our Educational Network.
- Please share our Educational Guidelines and Questionnaire with someone in the administration or on the faculty and invite them to complete and return this form along with a copy of the current catalog. This brief Questionnaire is a helpful resource in fully understanding the support that a college is most comfortable offering. Please assure anyone completing this application that they would not be expected to admit any woman who did not meet their normal admission standards. Our network membership includes a wide variety of academic institutions thereby enabling us to meet the differing interests and abilities of our clients.
