Mondays with Mary

The testimonies of the betrayed and the abandoned in TNN’s Client files expose the miscalculations and illuminate the disillusionment that inevitably follows:

Most women readily identify four primary sources of pressure or coercion that lead to an abortion “choice”:

  • The father of the baby: It is our relationship or the baby.”
  • The parents: “It is either our financial support or the baby.”
  • The boss: “It is either your job or the baby.”
  • The peers:  “It is either your social standing or the baby.”

Of course, none of these tradeoffs have anything to do with offering a woman in crisis the “freedom to choose.” Each ultimatum threatens to impose an emotional toll calculated to force her to make a desperate choice.

Profiles in Courage

flying-heart-logoThe pages of this website reveal a love story. Actually, many love stories. They tell the history of the Nurturing Network. These are not the kind of love stories that will make their way onto the glossy pages of a Hallmark card or romance novel.

They are the down-to-earth tales of ordinary people with extraordinary challenges.  I encourage you to take a few moments appreciate the shining example that our TNN maternal profiles in courage represent in today’s world.

If Only…

 IF ONLY…

If only I had been offered an alternative educational opportunity; my peers were angry when they found out that I was continuing my pregnancy.”

How You Can Help

New born babyOffer whatever professional expertise you may have as a counselor, lawyer or medical care provider.  Most of the professionals in our Network have full time jobs but find it in their hearts and busy schedules to contribute some amount of volunteer time to assist a college woman whose needs require their special skills.
