TNN's Founder Shares her Thoughts...

There is no symbol that has come to mean more to me than the image of the Mother of Jesus manifesting her compassion toward mothers and children in crisis. I suppose this comes as no surprise as the Blessed Mother’s selfless example and maternal grace is at the very heart of TNN’s mission.

The sacrificial role of Mary in the life and death of her Son inspires people of all faith traditions. Mary’s maternal “yes” in the darkest hour of her Son’s life helped to bring about the most hope-filled day in human history.

"The Blessing" by Lynn Lupetti" The origin of this poignant image of Mary and a young mother and child came from a recurrent dream that called out to be shared on canvas. This image took shape in my thoughts and prayers over a period of many months. I began to recognize with increased clarity three familiar faces: The tender, wise countenance of Mary . . .the trusting, courageous expression of a young Nurturing Network Client . . . and the innocent, adoring gaze of a newborn child -- perfectly at peace in the presence of both mothers.

While I had seen many beautiful renditions of the Blessed Mother with the Christ Child, I had never seen a composition that expanded her maternal reach to include another mother and her child. I shared this precious vision with a talented artist of deep faith and sensitivity and the result is the compelling painting that I am sharing with you as we enter the Nurturing Network’s 20th Anniversary year.

I have no idea whether it is possible to convey the awesome beauty of this masterpiece within the limitations of this web site, but viewed in the light of faith, I believe that whatever may be lost in this translation will become very clear to your heart.

You are invited to place an order for The Blessing and receive one of the 200 limited edition lithographs for yourself or a friend. Several TNN Members and former Clients have offered this gift to a special friend, College or Faith Community as a lasting tribute to a loved one.

Each lithograph is individually signed by the world acclaimed artist, Lynn Lupetti, and is available either framed or unframed. The finished size when framed in burnished gold is 24" x 29.

A donation in the amount of $2,000 will cover the cost of framing, crating and shipping within the continental U.S. Unframed, the value of each lithograph is $1,500.

Because quantities are limited, lithographs will be shipped in the order in which requests are received.

Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, all of the proceeds from the creation of each of these special reproductions will fund the on-going life-supporting services of The Nurturing Network.
